Sunday at Sea with The Greenpoint Fish & Lobster Co.

20 Aug

Last Sunday, I spent the day aboard The Jewel, dining on lobster rolls, whoopie pies, ceviche, and oysters, whilst boating along the harbor. It was all thanks to the Greenpoint Fish & Lobster Co., a sustainable seafood market, raw bar, and cafe opening this October. The star of the show was obviously the lobster roll– a hot buttered bun overflowing with fresh lobster meat. The boat also had an open bar (with plenty of Sixpoint) and dessert from Cookie Fairy Sweets, one of my favorite BK bakers.

The best part of the event: they never ran out of food. Usually big events with 300+ people don’t prepare enough food for the crowd, but the Greenpoint Fish & Lobster Co. did it right. The sea views weren’t bad either. Check out my photos from the event below.

Brooklyn Trivia Takedown Recap

2 Oct

Me and Rachel, one of the winners of the Brooklyn Brine pickles!

Thank you all who came out to the Brooklyn Trivia Takedown last week. I appreciate all of you coming out to support The Pink Agenda, as well as being good sports about my trivia questions. Four teams battled to the end of 3 rounds, plus a bonus round, showing off their local knowledge, and one came out victorious.

Thank you to our artisan prize donors, Brooklyn Brine, Butter + Love, and Cookie Fairy Sweets– your donations were drool-worthy. And of course, thank you 61Local for having us up in their awesome mezzanine space and serving up lots of local beer and wine. To learn more about the cause we were playing for, visit my donation page here.

Brooklyn Meetup: Rep Your Block RECAP

The Phin & Phebes Ice Cream Tasting

Thank you to everyone who came by the recent meetup at Mission Dolores. We had a magical evening filled with craft beer, ice cream, and chewy cookies. I had so much fun chatting with you all about Brooklyn neighborhoods, restaurants, and bars. I want to give a BIG thank you to EveryBlock, the event sponsor, as well as our snack vendors for the night, Phin & Phebes and Cookie Fairy Sweets. Also thanks to Palo Cortado for providing an awesome giveaway prize– brunch for two.

If you missed it, don’t be too sad, I’m sure I’ll be having plenty more Brooklyn meetups in the future.

Cookie Fairy Sweets! Look for ‘em in the freezer aisle.

Chewy deliciousness.
