Have you ever made an 18th century-style meal over an open flame? If you don’t know how, Brooklyn Brainery is here to help with their Urban Hearth Cooking Class on Sunday September 16th, 11am to 3pm.
You’ll learn the four basic cooking techniques: baking, roasting, frying and boiling. And yes, you’ll even learn how to build a fire, so next time you go camping you can impress everyone. Aside from becoming slightly more primal, you’ll also become a better home chef. PLUS, you get to eat!
Here’s the menu that you’ll help make:
Carrot Soup with Mace
Rusks, a Fried Bread
A Roast
Apple and Rosewater Pie
The $50 class will be at The Old Stone House in Park Slope. Sign up here.
