Jewelry to Commemorate the Brooklyn Tornado.

5 Jan

Where were you on September 16, 2010? I was blowing away during the Brooklyn tornado. Jewelry designer MiskiMetal remembers the tornado with these silver cuffs she created, displaying them on a branch she found on a Park Slope stoop after the storm. The bracelet is available in sterling silver, oxidized sterling silver, brass or white bronze (does not tarnish), and it retains all the texture and knots of the organic original. You can wear one, but I like them stacked. Get yours here on Etsy.

That’s such an interesting bracelet. Reminds me of the ring we once tweeted about. Hope all is well. Hayden and I have missed you. Don’t be a stranger :-)

Thanks, Shannon! I’ll definitely stay in touch. I hope you’re having a nice new year.
